A ruined African sanctuary - the grounds of a mine that was destroyed by a bloody civil war driven by the pursuit of the diamonds it held. However, a remarkable transformation began to unfold as the ravaged soil started to reclaim and heal its wounds. One of the excavations has now been filled with water, creating a stunning azure lake in Bomi County, Liberia.
